Nonmetal Laser Cutting Engraving Machine
The system operates by exciting a mixture of CO₂, nitrogen, and helium gas in a sealed laser tube using an electrical discharge. This excitation triggers transitions in CO₂ molecules, generating a continuous, high-powered laser beam. The beam is then directed through a series of mirrors and focused onto the material surface via a lens.
When the focused laser beam contacts the material, its intense heat rapidly melts, vaporizes, or burns the target area. A coaxial jet of compressed gas (such as oxygen for cutting metals or nitrogen for clean edge finishes on non-metals) blows away molten debris, ensuring a smooth, precise cut or engraved pattern. Computer numerical control (CNC) systems guide the laser head or material bed along pre-programmed paths, enabling complex, repeatable designs with minimal human intervention.
